Rumbo a Sudáfrica con Jorge Campos |
Rumbo a Sudáfrica brings listeners an overview to the history of soccer’s most popular Cups and follows the current participating teams’ journey up to the victory in an appealing and energetic way. These features remember the biggest moments of the greatest event in soccer and their heroes; who better than one of those heroes to tell us all about it? GLR Networks’ Rumbo a Sudáfricabroadcasts are delivered by former player and renowned sports expert Jorge Campos.
Campos is one of the most notable Mexican soccer players in the 1990s. Although usually playing as a goalkeeper, he was also a particularly good attacker, making him an especially interesting player. Often he would start a game in goal, but transfer to the attack later in the match. In the Mexican league, Campos played for Pumas, Atlante, Cruz Azul, Tigres, and Puebla. He also played in Major League Soccer for the Los Angeles Galaxy and the Chicago Fire. Campos started for Mexico in the 1994 and 1998 World Cups and had compiled 129 caps for his country. He was assistant coach to head coach Ricardo LaVolpe of the Mexican national team in 2004. |
